Owncloud as a local drive

Owncloud is a free software application that allows you to create a file hosting service. You can install it in a server and create your own cloud. Air Live Drive allows you to connect with your Owndcloud account and access your cloud as if it were a local disk.

To start working with Onwcloud in Air Live Drive is very simple. First, in “Add accounts”, you just have to select the Owncloud icon and enter the required data. Check the Owncloud documentation for the name of the server you have.

With the account already added, select a letter and connect the account. In this screen, you have the option to modify the disk configuration. Here, you can change the cache settings or, for example, you can choose to connect the cloud directly when you open Air Live Drive.

Once your Owncloud accounts is connected, when you open your Windows Explorer, your Onwcloud account will appear as a local disk. So you can open it and manage your files in the cloud. You can also open any file and work with it. The changes you make will be automatically saved in Onwlcoud.
